Swift expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m incredibly thankful for the kindness and support you’ve shown me, as well as the respect you’ve given to fellow artists and songwriters.”
Taylor Swift showed her support for Alan Jackson as he celebrated his final major concert performance.
On Saturday, June 27, the 67-year-old country legend took the stage at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium for “Last Call: One More for the Road — The Finale,” a special farewell event featuring tribute performances from some of country music’s biggest names, including Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and others.
Throughout the concert, fans were treated to memorable clips highlighting different moments from Jackson’s legendary career. Swift, 36, also appeared through a heartfelt video message dedicated to the “Chattahoochee” singer.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the way you’ve supported me, along with so many other artists and songwriters, through your kindness and encouragement over the years,” Swift shared in the video. “I’m so excited for you and this incredible show, and I truly appreciate you so much.”
Before performing his final full-length concert, Jackson, who shared in September 2021 that he had been living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for more than a decade, explained that he wanted to close this chapter of his career in the place where it began.
“It has been a long journey, and it has brought me to places I never thought I would reach,” Jackson said in a statement. “I can’t imagine a better place to celebrate with a major show and give the fans a memorable farewell than Nashville, surrounded by so many special friends.”
Although Swift was unable to attend Jackson’s farewell concert in person, she had recently been in Nashville supporting her fiancé Travis Kelce during a Tight End University (TEU) event.
Just days earlier, on June 22, Swift performed “Love Story” with Lainey Wilson at the Tight Ends & Friends concert. She wore a custom strapless black dress featuring silver fringe details, a look that many fans believed was inspired by her 2008 album Fearless.
