Shania Twain Lights Up Quebec City with Unforgettable Festival Performance

Shania Twain brought the house down this weekend with a show-stopping performance in Quebec City.

On Saturday, July 12, the country music legend headlined the 2025 Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ), delivering a powerhouse set to a crowd of tens of thousands. Twain, 59, captivated the audience—many of whom sported cowboy hats and denim—with a high-energy performance that paid tribute to her incredible career.

Hailing from Ontario, the Grammy-winning artist performed a mix of timeless classics like “Any Man of Mine,” “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” and “Up!,” alongside newer fan favorites such as “Waking Up Dreaming” and “Giddy Up!” from her 2023 album Queen of Me.

Twain also connected with the local crowd by addressing them in French between songs—a gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. The next day, she reflected on the special night in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“Wow, Quebec! I’ll never forget that night,” she wrote on July 13. “It honestly felt like the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen at a show in Canada, and you were with me every step of the way.”

She added with a laugh, “Thank you for being patient with my French! Thank you to @festivaleteqc, and thank you to the best fans in the world. What an epic night in beautiful Quebec City—I’m going to be riding this high for a while 🥰.”

Maren Morris Warms Up the Stage for Shania Twain at Quebec’s Festival d’été

Before Shania Twain took center stage at the Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ), fellow Nashville artist Maren Morris set the tone with a high-energy performance of her own.

Morris, 35, delivered a dynamic set that highlighted her ability to move fluidly across genres—from the gritty Southern rock sound of “All My Favorite People,” to the sultry R&B vibe of “RSVP,” the dance-pop hit “The Middle,” and powerful ballads like “Carry Me Through” from her latest album Dreamsicle.

As her set neared its end, Morris paused to pay tribute to Twain before launching into her chart-toppers “The Bones” and “My Church.” Calling Twain “the queen,” she thanked her for creating timeless songs and breaking boundaries in the music industry. “She’s an icon and a girls’ girl,” Morris told the crowd. “I’m honored to share this stage with her tonight.”

The “Bed No Breakfast” singer also expressed her gratitude to the audience for their warm reception. “This is my first time in Quebec, but definitely not my last,” she said. “We’re sharing something really beautiful together tonight—this safe, powerful moment through live music.”

Morris and Twain’s performances closed out the FEQ, a beloved annual event held in the heart of Quebec City. The festival spans six stages, with the main venue—located on the historic Plains of Abraham—welcoming up to 90,000 fans for some of the biggest acts of the year.
