Reyna Roberts Provides Insight: “You Have Two Country Outlaws in Love, On the Run with Their Friends, Ready to Take on Whatever Comes Their Way”

Reyna Roberts drew inspiration from a diverse array of musical influences while crafting her latest album, “Bad Girl Bible Vol. 1,” with one of them being Miranda Lambert.
Roberts’ track titled “Miranda” pays homage to the country superstar, and she is thrilled with the outcome of both the song and its accompanying video.
She expressed, “This video is a flawless embodiment of outlaw country, which is precisely what ‘Miranda’ embodies. You have two country outlaws deeply in love, evading the law with their companions, fully prepared to confront any challenges that lie ahead.”
Reyna Roberts collaborated with Kendall Brower and David Mescon in crafting the song, and she co-produced it with Mescon. The music video for “Miranda” was a joint production with Mark Gonzalez, who also directed the video.
Roberts shared her experience working with Gonzalez, saying, “I have a specific vision, and Mark was perfect. He helped bring my vision to life. He understood the story I wanted to portray, and I wouldn’t have this amazing video if it weren’t for him and his crew.”
The mini-movie for “Miranda” also featured Roberts’ friends, including Nautica, Ayla, and Yonel, with whom she has long-standing connections. She highlighted a heartwarming moment during filming when the male lead, Jennings, realized that his sister, Kendall, was part of the song as a co-writer and contributed harmonies to it. Kendall’s voice can be heard in the song, saying, “We’ve got two suspects on the run.”
Roberts actively engaged in the video production process, meticulously crafting the storyline, selecting locations, visuals, and the cast. She watched all the video content for a week before the editing process, which she undertook with her friend Yonel Cohen of Finders Entertainment.
Reflecting on the project, Roberts expressed her pride in the collaborative effort, saying, “I created about 90 percent of the storyline and chose the location, visuals, the cast, and was really proud of what we all accomplished. And Mark Gonzalez was an amazing director.”
With the “Miranda” music video, Roberts aims to immerse viewers in an adventure. She hopes the video evokes the feeling of being on the run with the characters and ultimately inspires its audience. Her overarching goal is to provide people with a meaningful and inspiring experience when they watch the video.
