In May, members of the Nashville Metro Council rejected the installation of a sign for Morgan Wallen’s bar.

Morgan Wallen is finally getting his bar sign.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Nashville Metro Council approved the country star’s request to hang a sign above his Broadway bar, This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen. This decision comes nearly seven months after the council initially denied the permit application, as reported by WSMV.
In a meeting on May 21, 30 Metro Nashville council members voted against an application from development company 4th Avenue Property LLC to construct an “aerial encroachment” at the bar, located at 107 4th Ave North.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, a Nashville judge sentenced Morgan Wallen to one week of incarceration at a DUI education center, along with two years of probation—one year for each of his misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment. The “Wasted on You” singer was also ordered to pay a $350 fine and court fees.
“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation,” Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson IV, said in a statement to PEOPLE.
Wallen pleaded conditionally guilty under judicial diversion, meaning that if he successfully completes the terms of his probation, his charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement.
