Megan Moroney and Boys Lie Reunite for a Bold New Capsule Collection Inspired by Heartbreak and Southern Sass
After a fan-favorite collaboration in 2024, Megan Moroney and streetwear label Boys Lie are back with a fresh capsule collection that fuses cheeky charm with cozy confidence. The new drop lands Tuesday, June 17.
“Our partnership with Megan and her team has always felt like a natural fit,” says Boys Lie co-founder Tori Robinson. “We knew we wanted to bring it back. Honestly, neither her fans nor ours ever stopped loving the first collection.”
Their initial team-up last year featured a navy blue tracksuit emblazoned with the phrase “Houston, He’s a Problem,” a playful nod to Moroney’s track “Man on the Moon” from her 2024 album Am I Okay?. The design was complete with an image of the singer reclining on the moon—a stylish wink at heartbreak.
For Moroney, coming back for round two was an easy decision. “Collaborating with Boys Lie was a no-brainer,” she says. Known for her signature stage look—bold, glittering mini-dresses, iconic white Go-Go boots, and voluminous blonde waves—Moroney is just as intentional with her off-stage fashion. “When I’m not performing, I live in loungewear. I still want to feel put-together, even when I’m casual.”
In fact, she says her closet is packed with Boys Lie staples. “I’m wearing it right now,” she revealed on a recent call. “If I’m not in my stage outfits, I’m in Boys Lie. So this just felt really natural.”
That authenticity resonated deeply with the brand. “It was the perfect overlap of audiences,” says co-founder Leah O’Malley. “Honestly, we were eager for a second round. Our customers were asking for it, and we knew it would be a hit.”
For the latest launch, the Boys Lie team collaborated closely with Moroney and her camp to design fresh silhouettes and patterns, this time heavily inspired by the tone and visuals of Am I Okay?. “Blue is the standout color this time,” Moroney explains. “It’s got that emotional punch, but still feels confident and cool.” O’Malley adds, “Camo has always been strong for us, and the pale blue camo feels like the perfect match for Megan’s brand.”
The new capsule features a matching set including a white tank and tee with lyrics from her track “Bless Your Heart” reading, “I’ll see you next Tuesday at the bar.” Complementing the tops are soft-knit shorts in pale blue camo with the same line. Rounding out the collection is a cozy crewneck sweatshirt in matching camo, proudly stamped with Moroney’s name across the front.
