Lainey Wilson is embracing a new role in her life—fiancée!
The country star shared exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 12, revealing that her longtime boyfriend, former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges, 28, popped the question.
Wilson, 32, captioned the heartfelt post with “4x4xU forever ❤️,” a nod to the song “4x4xU” from her latest album, Whirlwind, alongside a collection of romantic photos and videos.
The first photo captured the soon-to-be newlyweds holding hands in front of a scenic building with large windows.
A close-up revealed a heartfelt setup featuring five framed pictures of the couple placed near the doorway, surrounded by candles and roses.
The post also included two black-and-white snapshots of the pair sharing a kiss, along with another image of Hodges holding a small cowboy hat while Wilson proudly showed off her engagement ring.
To wrap up the announcement, Wilson shared a short clip of herself playfully flashing her hand in front of the camera while walking down the stairs and saying, “boo.”
In the comments, numerous celebrity friends shared their congratulations, including Kaitlin Butts, who joked, “SHE’S WALKIN WITH A LIMP YALL. Congrats you two 🥲🫶.”
Butts, a fellow country artist, is among the musicians set to join Wilson on her upcoming Whirlwind World Tour. The tour kicks off in March with several European dates before wrapping up in the U.S. in November.
Though Wilson didn’t reveal the exact date of their engagement, her announcement came shortly after her performance at the 2025 Grammys. She took part in a star-studded tribute to Quincy Jones and raised awareness for the Los Angeles wildfires.
At the ceremony, Wilson was nominated for Best Country Album for Whirlwind, marking her second consecutive nomination in the category. The award ultimately went to Beyoncé for COWBOY CARTER. Wilson had previously won the honor in 2024 for Bell Bottom Country.
