The country artists impressed audiences during the Thanksgiving halftime show at the Giants-Cowboys game.

Fans expressed their gratitude for Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll following their standout performance.

On Thursday, Nov. 28, Wilson, 32, took center stage at AT&T Stadium during the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show at the New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys game. Joining her for the performance were Jelly Roll, 39, and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Wilson, dressed in a white studded jumpsuit featuring her signature bell-bottoms and a coordinating hat, opened her high-energy set with “Heart Like a Truck.” She then transitioned to “Hang Tight Honey,” where the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders joined in with a choreographed routine.

Wilson, who co-hosted the 2024 CMA Awards with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning the previous week, followed up with a performance of “4x4xU.” Jelly Roll then surprised the crowd by joining her onstage for their heartfelt 2023 duet “Save Me.” “The incredible Lainey Wilson!” he exclaimed as he joined her performance.

She concluded her set with a powerful rendition of “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

Fans were excited about the Thanksgiving halftime performance. One person humorously tweeted, “Did you hear there was a football game at the Lainey Wilson concert in Dallas today?”

Another fan added, “Lainey Wilson and the Cowboys cheerleaders are exactly what America needed.” A third joked, “Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll gave the best performance AT&T Stadium has seen all season,” referencing the Cowboys’ 5-7 record.

Even those who don’t usually listen to country music were impressed. One person shared, “I don’t follow country, but that was one of the best halftime performances I’ve seen live. They sounded amazing, well done.”

Wilson and Jelly Roll weren’t the only country artists to perform on Thanksgiving day. Shaboozey also took the stage during the halftime of the Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears game, delivering a performance that likely left the crowd feeling festive.
