If Jelly Roll keeps shedding pounds like this, it might be time to rethink his nickname!
The chart-topping country star has been steadily dropping weight after embracing a healthier way of life in early 2024—and he’s not holding back.
He’s taken serious steps to support his transformation, including hiring a personal chef to travel with him on tour. In between performances, he’s staying active with new routines like climbing stadium stairs, shooting hoops, and plunging into ice baths.
Jelly Roll initially set a goal to run a 5K last year, and it’s turned into a full-blown tradition. Now training for his second race, he’s also kicked off his own community of supporters by launching the Jelly Roll Losers Run Club, inviting fans to hit the pavement with him.
In a recent video promoting the upcoming run, the “Liar” singer looked back on his progress with pride.
“Man, today feels kind of emotional,” he says in the clip. “It’s wild to think that 15 months ago, this exact spot is where it all started.”
Still in training mode, he adds, “A year later, and I’m getting ready for my next 5K. Just wrapped up a 45-minute walk, and yeah—I’m sweating like crazy. There’s still plenty of me left, but not as much as there used to be. I’m working on it. Give me another year.”
Since beginning his wellness journey, Jelly Roll has dropped a remarkable 145 pounds and managed to keep it off. Earlier this year, he opened up about his future goals, including one that might surprise fans: making it onto the cover of Men’s Health.
“By March 2026, I want to be on that cover,” he shared on his wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast. “That’s my next big goal. I want people to see one of the most dramatic transformations out there.”
His progress has even opened up new wardrobe options. In a fun moment captured by Bunnie, Jelly Roll proudly rocked one of her branded black hoodies—something that wouldn’t have fit him before his lifestyle change.
