In addition, the country singer dropped “What’s a Little Heartache” and “Her Favorite Color” on Friday, Jan. 9.

After more than a decade of marriage, Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany have teamed up for their first-ever duet.
On Friday, Jan. 9, the country superstar dropped three new songs from his upcoming album, Songs About Us, including the collaborative track titled “Easier Gone.”
The ballad tells the story of an unexpected encounter with an ex at a bar and the emotional turmoil that follows, as Jason reflects on wishing he had never seen her.
“I wish I didn’t know your name / Wish you were just another stranger / So you walkin’ in this bar wouldn’t put my broken heart in danger,” the 48-year-old sings in the opening verse.
The chorus, performed as a duet, explores lingering feelings that are hard to let go.
“You were easier gone / You were easier outta this town / Hey, I almost had this lettin’ you go thing figured out,” the couple sings. “Yeah, it was easy to lie / To myself on a Friday night / When I wasn’t face to face with how good you look movin’ on / Yeah, you were easier gone.”
Although “Easier Gone” is their first musical collaboration, Brittany, 37, had previously pursued a career in singing. She appeared on season 11 of American Idol in 2012, making it to Hollywood Week before being eliminated.
Following the song’s release, Jason shared studio photos with Brittany on Instagram, writing: “You guys have been asking for a duet for a while, and it’s finally here. ‘Easier Gone’ with @brittanyaldean + two more new songs are out now. Listen wherever you get your music!”
A couple of days earlier, the pair teased the release in a short Instagram video. Brittany told fans, “We might have something special for you. Cheers to the new year.”
In addition to their duet, Aldean released “What’s a Little Heartache” and “Her Favorite Color.” All three tracks will appear on Songs About Us, which is set to drop on April 24.
Back in September, the couple posted a heartfelt video of themselves performing Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer,” in memory of Charlie Kirk. Brittany captioned the post, “For Charlie ♥️.”
That same month, Brittany reflected on her journey of marrying a high-profile musician and adjusting to life in the public eye. On her Instagram Stories, she said, “I feel like I am pretty resilient, so it didn’t take me long. I always kind of had it. But I will say nothing really truly prepares you to get married to someone who is in the limelight… it’s not something you get used to easily, especially when it comes with a lot.”
