Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are offering fans an exclusive glimpse into the behind-the-scenes process of launching their Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk through a new docuseries.
Titled “Friends in Low Places,” the series is set to debut on Prime Video on March 7, coinciding with the bar’s grand opening celebration. Viewers will follow the married couple as they embark on the endeavor to create the ultimate honky-tonk in Nashville, Tennessee, paying homage to Brooks’ roots. The series will showcase the collaborative efforts of Brooks, his longstanding tour team, and a renowned hospitality group to bring the ambitious four-story bar to life on Lower Broadway, serving as a token of appreciation to the Music City community.
In a recent teaser, 62-year-old Brooks expressed, “When you step into Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk, you’re transported to that stadium show atmosphere, as well as that intimate dive bar experience.”
He emphasized the importance of not only the physical construction of the venue but also the creation of entertainment within it, highlighting the essence of a true bar and honky-tonk.
Furthermore, Brooks underscored the high expectations of patrons visiting a Garth Brooks establishment, noting the need to deliver a concert-quality experience. He emphasized the significance of bringing together the finest talent, which coincides with the tight-knit family that has accompanied him on tour for the past three decades.
Brooks expressed in a press release, “This journey has exceeded all my expectations! What we’ve created here goes beyond mere business. This has been an absolutely wild ride, unlike anything I’ve experienced before.”
Yearwood, 59, added, “From the very beginning, our venture has been driven by passion, commitment, and a unified vision. I’m incredibly proud of the team behind Friends Bar and Honky-Tonk. We can’t wait to unveil the result of everyone’s hard work. It’s surpassed even our wildest dreams!”
The docuseries will showcase the involvement of brothers Benjamin and Max Goldberg, who will take charge of overseeing “every facet of the hospitality” at the bar, as confirmed by a press release. They will be supported by the accomplished women of Strategic Hospitality, Jenny Deathridge Bratt and Camille Tambunting, who will play integral roles in the project.
Brooks and Yearwood exchanged vows in 2005. Recently, on February 7th, the “She’s in Love with the Boy” songstress celebrated Brooks’ 62nd birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post. The photo depicted the couple sharing a tender moment on stage, gazing affectionately into each other’s eyes.
In the caption, Yearwood expressed her love, writing, “How sweet it is to be loved by you. Happy birthday, love of my life! love, t.”
