Dolly Parton is taking her charitable work to an exciting new milestone.
The 80-year-old country music legend announced via an Instagram Reel on Thursday, Feb. 26, that the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital will now officially be called the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital.
In her video, shared alongside the Today show and the hospital’s official page, Parton reflected on her motivation: “I’ve always believed every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, hopeful, and surrounded by love. That belief led me to the amazing team at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.”
She continued, praising the hospital’s long history of care: “For nearly 90 years, their staff has provided compassionate, expert care. They see children not just as patients but as precious lives, each with a story and a future. I’m thrilled to announce that East Tennessee Children’s Hospital will now be … Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital. Yay!”
Parton emphasized collaboration, saying, “Together, we’re dedicated to ensuring world-class care is delivered with heart for children in East Tennessee and beyond. I hope you’ll join me in supporting this mission.”
