McBryde is set to perform on tour through the end of the year.

Ashley McBryde Prioritizes Vocal Health Amid Tour Commitments
Country artist Ashley McBryde is stepping back temporarily to focus on her recovery.
On Wednesday, August 6, the “One Night Standards” singer posted a video on Instagram using handwritten signs to communicate — revealing she’s currently on vocal rest.
“I’ve strained my throat,” McBryde, 42, explained through her notes. “So, I can’t talk if I want to keep performing for you.”
She playfully suggested, “Might be a good time to brush up on some American Sign Language,” adding cheerful phrases like “Hi!” and “Nice to meet you!” to help fans connect without speaking.
In an effort to avoid canceling meet-and-greets, she added, “Let’s try this together.”
The post was captioned: “Trybe, doctor says I’ve damaged my vocal cords. The last thing I want is to cancel shows or meet & greets — so I’m giving this a try for the week!”
Despite the setback, McBryde has a full lineup of performances throughout the rest of the month, with her tour wrapping up on December 12 at Chief’s in Nashville with a special run of shows titled “The Redemption Residency.” She announced the residency on Instagram on August 4, calling it a dream come true and a full-circle moment for longtime fans.
Her most recent single, “Rattlesnake Preacher,” was released in June, accompanied by a teaser video in which she said, “This one’s for anyone bold enough to break through barriers.”
Even as she focuses on connecting with fans, McBryde shared a memorable fan moment of her own in a December interview with PEOPLE. Recalling the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards, she said she was caught off guard when Reba McEntire interrupted a radio interview and leaned in close to say, “Hi, Ashley McBryde, this is Reba McEntire, and I’m your biggest fan.”
