The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 17. The ceremony will stream on Prime Video and Amazon Music.
Shania Twain has been announced as the host of the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, marking her first time leading the show.
The five-time Grammy winner, 60, shared her excitement in a statement, saying she’s thrilled to host the event in Las Vegas, a city she considers a second home. She also highlighted how special it is to be part of a night celebrating country music’s biggest names, especially with many women among this year’s top nominees. On social media, she added a playful note about preparing for the role, asking, “Now what will I wear?”
ACM CEO Damon Whiteside praised Twain as an ideal choice for host, pointing to her long history with the awards, including major wins such as Entertainer of the Year and the Poet’s Award, as well as recognition for her influential albums and songwriting career.
The 61st ACM Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 17, airing live on Prime Video and Amazon Music. This year’s nominations are led by Megan Moroney, followed closely by Miranda Lambert, with Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson also earning multiple nods. Performers for the night include Lambert, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, and Riley Green.
The awards show will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17 at 8 p.m. ET. It will stream live on Prime Video, and viewers can also tune in through the Amazon Music channel on Twitch or the Amazon Music app.
