The “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” hitmaker said she would have done everything possible to attend Taylor Swift’s wedding if her schedule had allowed.
Shania Twain recently shared that she was unable to attend Taylor Swift’s wedding because she had previously agreed to perform at a series of concerts headlined by Swift’s former boyfriend, Harry Styles.
During an interview with CTV’s Etalk, the 60-year-old country-pop star was asked whether she would consider performing at a future wedding for Styles. Twain responded that she would be happy to do so if her schedule permitted.
The question led to a discussion about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s highly publicized wedding at Madison Square Garden, which reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests, including numerous celebrities such as Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Gigi Hadid.
Twain explained that she had received an invitation to the event but was unable to attend because she was already committed to appearing as a special guest during Styles’ extended Wembley Stadium residency in London, which ran from mid-June through early July.
According to Twain, the scheduling conflict was the only reason she missed the celebration. She noted that the situation felt ironic, given that her prior commitment happened to involve Swift’s former partner.
Swift and Styles were briefly romantically linked between 2012 and 2013. Despite their past relationship, the two have remained friendly over the years and were notably seen interacting at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where both received major recognition for their work.
Twain emphasized that she would have loved to attend Swift’s wedding and said she would have made every effort to be there if her calendar had allowed. The two singers have shared a friendship dating back more than a decade.
Joking about the circumstances, Twain remarked that if Styles ever decides to get married and wants her present, he may need to give her much more advance notice. When the interviewer suggested that Styles might need to arrange his wedding around her schedule, Twain playfully agreed.
Styles is currently engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz. Reports of their engagement emerged after Kravitz was seen wearing a prominent ring during a public outing with the singer in London. Sources close to the couple indicated that the engagement had initially been shared only with a small group of friends and family, while Kravitz had been proudly showing off her ring to those close to her.
