Viewers will get their first official look at Green’s character when he appears in the April 19 episode.

Fans are finally getting their first real look at Riley Green’s role in Marshals ahead of the highly anticipated April 19 episode, which will introduce his character, Garrett.
In an exclusive preview released by USA Today, Garrett is introduced as a former Navy SEAL who reconnects with his old teammates Kayce and Cal amid a high-stakes manhunt for a dangerous “vicious enemy.” The clip begins with Garrett arriving by bus and reuniting with Kayce, portrayed by Luke Grimes.
The reunion quickly turns tense rather than emotional. Kayce questions why Garrett has suddenly returned, asking, “After all this time, you just figured you’d show up?” Garrett replies that he simply wanted to check on his former teammate, saying, “Felt like seeing how my old teammate was doing.”
Kayce responds firmly, making it clear he hasn’t left the action behind despite his new position: “I’m a Marshal now. Still in the fight.”
Cal is also skeptical of Garrett’s sudden appearance, saying, “Man shows up because life is good? I know a damaged man when I see one,” suggesting there are deeper issues behind Garrett’s return.
The preview seems to confirm those suspicions, showing Garrett surrounded by bottles and clearly burdened by memories from his military past. He later admits, “Music’s my only escape. It helps me forget about the past,” as flashbacks of a Navy SEAL operation play on screen.
Fans may also notice Riley Green’s song “My Way” playing in the background, a track he previously teased on social media. Another brief scene shows Garrett playing guitar around a campfire, sparking speculation that the song could be officially released in connection with the show.
This role also marks Riley Green’s acting debut, which he confirmed to Country Now in December. At the time, he shared that he felt comfortable on set but had to juggle filming with his busy touring schedule.
