Malone dropped his most recent album, F-1 Trillion, in August 2024.

Post Malone Chases Dreams and Shares Empowering Message During Coachella Set

Post Malone lived out a childhood dream on April 13, taking center stage at Coachella in Indio, California, and using his headlining moment to reflect on how far he’s come — and to encourage others to chase their own ambitions.

While closing out his performance with his hit “Sunflower,” the 29-year-old artist paused to speak candidly to the crowd. “A lot of people called me a one-hit wonder,” he said. “But if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will. No one can stop you.”

Malone — who launched his career with Stoney in 2016 — followed up with a passionate message to the thousands watching: “It’s important to go after what you love. Keep doing what brings you joy, love who you love, and never stop going after what lights you up. Nobody can tell you otherwise.”

He wrapped his message with a powerful reminder: “Whatever you want in life, go get it — and give it everything you’ve got. Don’t let anyone get in your way, because they can’t stop you.”

No stranger to Coachella, Malone previously performed there in 2018, and made a surprise appearance during Bad Bunny’s 2023 headlining set. This year, his set included fan-favorite tracks spanning his career, along with cuts from his latest country-inspired album, F-1 Trillion, released in August 2024.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and features collaborations with top country stars like Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help,” Blake Shelton on “Pour Me a Drink,” Luke Combs on “Guy for That,” and “What Don’t Belong to Me.”

In an interview with Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen, Malone opened up about how welcomed he felt by Nashville’s music community.

“It’s been amazing meeting people in Nashville who’ve made me feel at home — people who are not only insanely talented but also incredibly kind,” he said. “For once, I’m not sad anymore. I’m genuinely happy.”

Malone also shared that the connections he’s made feel lasting. “I’ve made some lifelong friends and I hope those relationships continue to grow.”

Reflecting on the contrast between Nashville and Los Angeles, he added, “L.A. is L.A. — you always feel like someone wants something from you. In Nashville, people are just real, and that’s refreshing.”
