The singer expressed his excitement about his new album, saying, “It was such a fresh experience going and watching this band and writing with new people, and I’m so f—ing pumped.”

Post Malone is focusing on a new city with his upcoming country album, F-1 Trillion, which releases on August 16, 2024. During an interview with Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio, Malone spoke about how Nashville’s welcoming atmosphere helped him feel at home and make new friends. He shared that working on the album in Nashville has brought him happiness and allowed him to take it easy and slow down, noting, “It’s really nice meeting people in Nashville that made me feel so welcome and new friends and kind of building new stuff.”
Post Malone shared that during his time in Nashville, he made “a lot of lifelong friends” and expressed a desire to maintain those connections, joking that he’d like to stay friends with “anyone who will still have [him].” He appreciated Nashville’s environment, contrasting it with Los Angeles, where he often felt distracted by the constant activity.
Malone explained that working in L.A. has always been challenging for him due to the distractions and the feeling that “there’s always something to do.” He noted that as he’s gotten older and with his responsibilities as a parent to his 2-year-old daughter, he now prefers a more focused approach to making music.
He mentioned that in Nashville, he found a welcoming atmosphere and genuine interactions, noting that people there were “super kind and super talented,” which he felt was lacking in L.A., where he often felt people wanted something from him. Malone concluded that his experience in Nashville was refreshing and exciting, saying, “It was such a fresh thing going and watching this band and writing with new people, and I’m so f—ing pumped.”
In preparation for his country album, F-1 Trillion, Post Malone has been actively engaging with the genre over the past year. He first joined Morgan Wallen and HARDY for a performance at the November 2023 CMA Awards.
In March, he furthered his country collaborations by being featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album. Then in May, Malone released the single “Pour Me a Drink,” which featured country legend Blake Shelton. In July, he dropped “Yours,” a single dedicated to his daughter.
