Kenny Chesney to Headline 18 Stadiums on the “Sun Goes Down” Tour from April to August with Three Stellar Support Acts

As we approach the holiday season, Kenny Chesney is already looking ahead to the summer. He recently revealed plans for his SUN GOES DOWN 2024 TOUR, featuring the talents of Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker. The East Tennessean will take the stage at 18 stadiums from April to August, accompanied by these three talented acts.
Chesney and Uncle Kracker previously joined forces for their hit song “When The Sun Goes Down” a decade ago. Regarding the tour’s name, Chesney explained, “I wanted a name that suggested – obviously – when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early, and they just keep it going. But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves.”
Kenny Chesney expressed his fondness for “When The Sun Goes Down,” highlighting how the song perfectly captured a particular vibe and moment. He emphasized that no matter how enjoyable the day may be, “everything gets hotter when the sun goes down.” Chesney, drawing from years of experience, believes this to be true, and he’s eager to get back out there on a stadium-sized stage, where 60,000 members of No Shoes Nation can join in singing these songs.
Regarding Zac Brown Band, Chesney likened their high-energy country style to that of country music legends, Alabama. He also noted the addition of Caroline Jones to their lineup. Megan Moroney, described as a promising new voice in country music, is set to bring heart and joy to the music, making Chesney excited to have her join No Shoes Nation.
The SUN GOES DOWN 2024 TOUR will kick off on April 20, 2024, at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium and conclude on August 23 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, following tradition.
