Kenny Chesney’s 2009 hit “Out Last Night” has gone viral on TikTok, featured in a video that’s rapidly gaining traction on the platform.

Kenny Chesney has responded to the renewed popularity of his 2009 track, “Out Last Night”, which has gained attention after being featured in a TikTok video.
The clip, shared on March 29 by TikTok user Mikala West, shows the song playing in the background at a bar in Huntsville, Alabama, following the 2026 lineman’s rodeo — an annual competition where linemen from across the country showcase their skills.
After the rodeo, West and a friend went to a local bar, where her friend connected with a lineman. To help track him down, West posted a TikTok explaining the situation. She wrote in the caption, “My friend found her soulmate last night in Huntsville, Alabama, after the lineman rodeo, and we know nothing about him except his name is Mike, and his friends kept calling him like the birds in Finding Nemo. (Mike! Mike! Mike!) Help us get Nemo home.”
The video sparked widespread engagement, with numerous TikTok users commenting in support of the story. One user, claiming to be Mike’s spouse, humorously added, “Hi! I’m Michael’s wife. He’s busy explaining this to our two children right now.”
The original clip has racked up around 25 million views, inspiring other linemen to post their own funny takes on the scenario. Chesney also joined in, uploading a TikTok using the song with the caption, “Heard we went out last night.”
