“On Thursday night, Urban was back on stage in Hershey, Pennsylvania, for the newest stop on his High and Alive World Tour.”
Keith Urban took the stage Thursday night for his first concert since news surfaced about his separation from Nicole Kidman.
The 57-year-old country star performed at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 2, after arriving in town earlier that day on a private jet. The show was part of his High and Alive World Tour. During his set, Urban included a slideshow that featured a family photo of Kidman, 58, and their daughters, which played on the screen while he sang his 2024 track Heart Like a Hometown. Before performing the song, he spoke to the audience about how his parents once allowed him to leave school to chase a music career.
He was backed by his touring band, with longtime collaborator Natalie Stovall returning to the lineup. Urban has been performing throughout the summer as part of his world tour, which continues through mid-October, with additional dates scheduled in the Bahamas and the U.K. in March 2026.
His setlist also included the Carrie Underwood duet The Fighter from his 2016 album Ripcord. The song was famously inspired by the early days of his relationship with Kidman. Over the years, Urban has improvised playful asides during live performances of the track — most recently telling musician Maggie Baugh, a temporary band member, “I’ll be your guitar player,” while often addressing Underwood directly with the line, “Carrie Underwood, I’m gonna be your fighter!”
Court filings show Kidman officially filed for divorce in Nashville on Sept. 30, listing that day as the couple’s separation date and citing irreconcilable differences. She and Urban, who married in June 2006 after meeting in Los Angeles the year before, share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
The filing followed a summer apart, as Kidman was in London filming Practical Magic 2 while Urban continued touring. A source close to Kidman said the actress had been trying to salvage the marriage, while someone in Urban’s circle noted he had “just been going through some stuff.”
Insiders suggested their split wasn’t simply a matter of growing apart, pointing instead to a series of questionable decisions by Urban. One source added that the relationship shifted once he quietly purchased his own home: “Their lives were moving in different directions, and when he set up a place of his own, it felt like the writing was on the wall.”
