Jason Aldean and Kane Brown have shared a close friendship for years, with their families also forming a tight bond. The two have even treated fans to surprise moments on stage together — most recently when Brown joined Aldean at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for a performance of “Dirt Road Anthem.”

Still, despite their longtime connection and mutual admiration as artists, the duo has yet to release an official duet.

In a recent conversation with Audacy’s Katie Neal, Aldean addressed the possibility of a collaboration.

“I already know where this question is going,” Aldean said with a laugh. “Kane’s hit me up a couple of times about working on something together, and I’ve told him before that I’d love to. For me, it always comes down to the song. Kane and I have really different styles musically, you know?”

While Aldean noted that a joint track isn’t in the works right now, he made it clear he’s open to the idea if the right song presents itself.

Jason Aldean explained that while he and Kane Brown have swapped songs before, finding the perfect track has been the challenge.

“When Kane sends me stuff, sometimes it’s just not something that feels natural for me,” Aldean shared. “I’ve always told him it’s about finding the right song. I’d love to do a collaboration with him, and I’m sure it’ll happen eventually—we just haven’t landed on the right one yet.”

Aldean also poked fun at his friend, adding with a laugh, “Kane likes to put me on blast.”

Over the years, Aldean has recorded duets with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and John Morgan, while Brown has teamed up with Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Lauren Alaina.

As for when fans might finally hear an Aldean-Brown duet, the timing could be sooner than later. Both stars are currently working on new projects—Aldean recently confirmed his next single, “How Far Does a Goodbye Go,” will drop this Friday, while Brown has teased that the success of his hit “2 Pair” could lead to either a new EP or a full nine-track album.
