The ninth annual ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Ryman Auditorium on September 22.
The 9th Annual Nashville Songwriter Awards will return to the historic Ryman Auditorium on September 22, with organizers unveiling another group of performers for the highly anticipated event.
Presented by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) in partnership with City National Bank, the annual celebration recognizes outstanding achievements in songwriting while honoring some of the industry’s most respected creators. The ceremony will feature award presentations alongside performances from an impressive lineup of acclaimed songwriters.
Among this year’s featured performers are Chris Stapleton, Ashley McBryde, and Steve Earle, who will each take the stage to honor the evening’s recipients by performing songs they wish they had written, as well as some of the year’s most influential chart-topping hits.
The event will also include performances from Dan Alley, Ryan Beaver, Jacob Davis, Ray Fulcher, Ben Johnson, Chris LaCorte, Chase McGill, Neil Medley, Josh Miller, Blake Pendergrass, Hunter Phelps, Bobby Pinson, Jeremy Stover, Lydia Vaughan, and Jordan Walker. Organizers have confirmed that additional artists will be announced in the weeks leading up to the ceremony.
Several major award recipients have already been revealed. Vince Gill is set to receive the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award, while Paul Williams will be honored with the NSAI President’s Keystone Award. Blake Pendergrass has been named Songwriter of the Year, and Riley Green will be recognized as Songwriter-Artist of the Year.
Other prestigious honors—including Song of the Year, the 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written awards, and the Legendary Song Award—will remain a surprise until they are announced live during the ceremony.
