Carrie Underwood is embracing her natural look with a striking new hair color that takes her back to her roots—literally.
The country music icon unveiled her fresh “bronde” hairstyle in a series of Instagram photos posted late Monday night, showcasing the soft blend of blonde and brunette tones.
“It’s probably been since I was about 12 that I’ve seen my natural hair color,” Underwood wrote in the caption. “I figured it was time to revisit it and give it another go.”
She also expressed gratitude to her stylist, Katelin from Parlour 3 in Brentwood, Tennessee, for “helping me reconnect with my roots!”
Parlour 3 is owned by Melissa Schleicher, Underwood’s longtime hair and makeup artist, who has worked with the singer since her early days following American Idol, including her first performance at the Grand Ole Opry.
Fans were quick to praise the new look—the post has already garnered nearly 300,000 likes and thousands of supportive comments from both friends and followers.
Since wrapping up her role as a judge on the latest season of American Idol—a full-circle moment nearly 20 years after winning Season 4 in 2005—Carrie Underwood has been enjoying a quieter life away from the spotlight.
Following the show’s conclusion, Underwood has offered fans small glimpses into her life on the farm. She’s shared snapshots of her homegrown tomatoes, freshly baked muffins and bread, and adorable photos of her farm animals.
Her return to live performances is just around the corner. She’s set to hit the stage at the Voices of America Country Music Fest on August 8 and will also perform at the Grand Ole Opry on September 12 and 13.
On the television front, Underwood will be back this fall for her 13th season opening NBC’s Sunday Night Football. The latest SNF intro was filmed at The Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, the very venue where Underwood made history with her wildly successful residency, REFLECTION. Running for more than three years with sold-out shows through April 2025, the residency became the longest-running Las Vegas engagement by a solo female country artist.
Tripp Dixon, who has served as creative director for the SNF opening for 13 consecutive years, spoke about this milestone season. “For SNF’s 20th year, we wanted to reimagine the anthem to highlight Carrie’s incredible vocals and to visually reflect the spirit of Sunday Night Football’s nationwide journey each week,” he explained, noting that this year’s intro features a dynamic mix of stylized footage and behind-the-scenes moments.
