On Friday, July 25, the “What He Didn’t Do” singer introduced her new boyfriend, Jordan Karcher, to fans through an affectionate Instagram post.
Alongside a cozy selfie with Karcher, who is an entrepreneur, the 35-year-old country star captioned the photo, “I guess this is what the kids are calling a ‘hard launch’ these days… 🤭♥️.”
Carly Pearce has moved on with a new love, following a series of high-profile relationships.
Previously, the country singer was romantically linked to her band’s drummer, BC Taylor. Before that, she dated Riley King, a real estate entrepreneur based in Nashville. Pearce and King ended their relationship in June 2023.
Prior to dating King, Pearce was married to fellow country artist Michael Ray, but their marriage ended after just eight months when Pearce filed for divorce in June 2020.
In an interview with PEOPLE in June 2023, Pearce reflected on her personal growth and her approach to relationships. She shared that she was feeling “healthier every day” when it came to love, but emphasized her desire to keep her romance with Taylor out of the public eye.
“Everything’s going well,” Pearce said at the time. “But after having a marriage and a relationship in the spotlight that didn’t work, I’ve learned to keep this one very private.”
While Pearce expressed a desire for love, marriage, and some version of family life, she acknowledged that her true passion is her career. “If having children doesn’t happen for me, I’m at peace with that,” she said. “This—my music—is what I’ve always dreamed of.”
In March, Pearce discussed closing the chapter of her Hummingbird era, which symbolized a period of healing from heartbreak, marked by the release of a deluxe version of her album.
“These songs feel like the right way to close this chapter and to look forward to the future after a really difficult five years,” she told PEOPLE.
Pearce noted that her struggles extended beyond just her divorce, saying, “I’ve had multiple relationships in the past five years that haven’t worked out… I’m about to turn 35, and I’m reaching a place where I’m truly okay with who I am. I think you have to experience the rain to appreciate the flowers—it sounds cliché, but that’s the truth.”
At the time, she also hinted that her creative energy was strong, and fans could expect new music by the end of the year.
