Brad Paisley recently celebrated two special occasions — his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s birthday and the arrival of a new addition to their farm.
On Sunday, Sept. 14, the 52-year-old country star honored Kimberly’s 54th birthday by revealing that the family had just welcomed a baby donkey. He posted a photo on Instagram of his wife posing with the newborn animal, writing in the caption:
“A beautiful donkey was just born on our farm,” before adding, “Speaking of, it’s the beautiful @kimberlywilliamspaisley’s birthday today! Happy birthday!”
Paisley followed up with a playful joke, admitting, “As I write this, I realize it may not have been the best idea to combine the two announcements. I’m not suggesting they’re alike… or that she’s a… Maybe I should stop right there.”
Brad and Kimberly first crossed paths in 2001 when he invited the Father of the Bride actress to star in one of his music videos, sparking their romance soon after. The couple got engaged the following year, with Brad proposing on a pier in Venice, Los Angeles, and they tied the knot in March 2003.
Together, they share two sons: William Huckleberry, born in 2007, and Jasper Warren, born in 2009.
In a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Kimberly shared her secret to a lasting marriage, explaining that “focusing on the laughter and keeping a sense of play” has been central to their relationship.
