Megan Moroney Reveals Tragic Connection to 9/11 Inspired New Song

Megan Moroney is hot off the release of her sophomore album Am I Okay?, which arrived on July 12. Of the 14 songs, one title sticks out — “Heaven By Noon.” The country singer recently revealed to Today’s Country host Kelleigh Bannen that the song was written about her uncle, who died in the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

“The song is inspired — a lot of people don’t know this, but my uncle died on 9/11,” she explains. “So, I kind of thought about my aunt when I was writing that song.”
