“The incident, which posed a possible safety risk, took place during the singer’s performance at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Saturday, June 28.”

During the first of her two Cowboy Carter concerts in Houston, Beyoncé experienced a frightening technical issue.
On Saturday, June 28, the 43-year-old performer of “Texas Hold ’Em” was in the middle of singing “16 Carriages” while seated in a car prop suspended above the audience at Houston’s NRG Stadium, when the vehicle unexpectedly began to tip mid-performance.
A TikTok video captured the tense moment, showing Beyoncé atop a red convertible as it suddenly tilts sharply in mid-air. She appears secured by a harness and is seen gripping one of the suspension cables as the car shifts.
“Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,” Beyoncé can be heard saying through her mic as the music abruptly halts. Still suspended high above the stage, she glances downward, then upward, eventually flashing a smile at the cheering crowd.
While still hanging mid-air, the singer maintains her composure and calmly addresses the audience, saying, “Thank y’all for your patience.” She is then safely lowered to the center of the stage.
As the car prop nears the ground, it levels out, allowing Beyoncé to shift back into her seated position atop the vehicle, smiling once more as the stage lights dim.
A fan captioned the viral video with, “Omg she scared me,” expressing relief that she wasn’t hurt. They humorously added, “SOMEBODY GETTING FIRREDDDD,” a nod to a famous line from Beyoncé’s 2010 I Am World Tour.
The Houston Chronicle reported that the vehicle stalled mid-song while still in the air. Once the car was brought down, Beyoncé briefly stepped offstage before returning to complete her set, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
At present, the reason behind the malfunction has not been confirmed.
