Zimmerman said he hopes fans will understand that, at this point, his family needs to be his top priority.
Bailey Zimmerman has made the difficult decision to cancel the UK and European portion of his Different Night Same Rodeo Tour just weeks before he was scheduled to travel overseas.
The country singer was originally due to begin the international leg in the UK on Aug. 27. The tour was then set to continue through Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden before concluding in Oslo, Norway, on Sept. 12.
Zimmerman announced the cancellation on social media Thursday, July 30, telling fans that personal family circumstances require his attention right now. He said the decision was not made lightly and expressed regret over disappointing people who had been looking forward to seeing him perform overseas.
While Zimmerman did not provide additional details about the situation, he reassured fans that everything is okay. He explained that spending time with and supporting his family needs to take priority at the moment.
The “Chevy Silverado” singer also confirmed that he intends to complete his remaining North American performances scheduled through August. After those dates, he plans to take some time away from touring to concentrate on himself, his family and working on new music.
Zimmerman acknowledged that the cancellation will be disappointing for fans who had already made plans to attend the European shows. He apologized for the change and expressed his appreciation to everyone who continues to support him during the difficult period.
